Spring Break Festival!! Croatian Club Fundraiser

There’s a massive all day music festival coming up at Newcastle’s most accomodating and friendly venue, the Croatian Wickham Sports Club. The club has long been the unofficial home of new weird Newcastle sounds, and has sometimes struggled to make ends meet. In order to make a bit of money back and say thanks to Pavo, 20 of Newcastle’s raddest groups are getting together for the first ever Spring Break!! Festival.

The lineup includes  Bare Grillz, In The Dollhouse, Crab Smasher, Alps, Hopes, CasioGloria, Teen Ax, A Dire Dawn, Stitched Vision, Polyfox And The Union Of The Most Ghosts, Cock Safari, Fk Sampler, Spew Ya Guts Up, Holographic Cocoon, Phobiac, Troopin’ Kerry Alpacas, Cistern Corrupt, Honest Thieves, Wirehead, Mushroom Family, and special guest DJ MTTNS.

Plus market stalls, games of bowls, bocci and giant chess, raffle to win hundreds of dollars worth of CDs, records and tapes, cheapest drinks around, and all day pizza oven firing up slices for $2 and whole pizzas for $5!

Tickets are $10 at the door or $20 for families.
All proceeds to the Croatian Club.

Cuddle Party #2 at Arthive Gallery

Coming up on Sunday April 18 is Cuddle Party #2, an all day music festival in the ARThive gallery in Newcastle. The first event back in January was such a swell way to spend a sunday we figured we might have another! Before you freak out, this isn’t some pervy gropefest, just a posi day of sharing music and rad vibes. This cuddly day will feature a whole bunch of great live music including a rare trio performance from Polyfox And The Union Of The Most Ghosts, debut sets from The Origami Girls and Fairy Mountain, plus CasioGloria, Hira Hira, Little A, Michael Crafter, Happy Phlegm and heaps more. Bands will kick off around 12pm. See you there!

Kevin Blechdom in Newcastle

Kevin Blechdom is touring Australia again, this time with special guest Barnwave. We caught her twice on her 2006 tour and she is simply unmissable! Thankfully she’s stopping by Newcastle again, this time taking in the Croatian Club with special guests Rice Corpse, Alps Of New South Whales, Casiogloria, None Music, and Liz Hurley.
