It looks like mousetrapreplica are finishing up soon. Here’s what Ryan has to say.
Hey folks, after 105 gigs, 3 recordings, and an exhibition/performance series, I’ve decided to break up mousetrapreplica.
Our final show will be this friday at the Brunswick Hotel, we’ll hit the stage around midnight. Entry is free. Brunswick Hotel is at 140 Sydney Rd, Brunswick.
We will still be doing some studio recordings of our music, which we will release for free download on the interweb. If you’d like to know when and where to get these recordings, email me (Ryan): info [at] mousetrapreplica.com and I’ll let you know when it is done.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the last four years or so.
We are very grateful. Thanks.

There is a great gig coming up this Saturday July 18 at Noise Bar in Melbourne. Mousetrapreplica will perform a collaborative set with improvising legend Adam Simmons, plus you can also check out Australia’s most unreal band Go Genre Everything, Ira Caelum, and dropbunny.

Finally we are able to announce the release of the latest addition to our catalogue. A Tin Teardrop is a live improvised collaboration between experimental guitarists Marcus Whale (Scissor Lock) and Ryan McRobb (mousetrapreplica) recorded in Melbourne at the now defunct Afterdark Bar.
Consisting of one 38 minute live take, A Tin Teardrop features an atmospheric bed of intricate guitar loops and audio processing, among a wash of delay and other electronic suprises. The stunning artwork was completed live on stage by mousetrapreplica artist Alice Palermo.
